URGENT APPEAL FOR HELP TO SERBIAN MUNICIPALITIES
IN THE STATE OF EMERGENCY CAUSED BY SEVERE FLOODS
Dear Friends,
The State of Emergency has been declared in the Republic of Serbia due to the heaviest rain and worst floods since the record floods 120 years ago. Overflowing rivers have burst into towns and villages, cutting off whole communities.
Several towns and municipalities are in a great danger, and they lack food, water, medicines and basic necessities.
Thousands inhabitants are being evacuated and many victims are saved from the flowing water and flooded houses and buildings. Rescue teams are engaged in a huge number of municipalities and the situation is extremely alarming.
National Coalition for Decentralization (NCD) appeals to all its international partners and friends to mobilize their members and ask them to support and facilitate aid collection for affected areas.
Primarily for the delivery of goods: food, baby food, diapers, blankets, clothing, boots, etc. The embassies and consulates of the Republic of Serbia in respective countries should be contacted.
The list of Serbian embassies and consulates in respective European countries and their contacts you could find here.
Embassies of the Republic of Serbia

We also kindly ask you to share this Appeal and information through your communication channels.
Help will be collected and delivered only through channels established by embassies and consulates of the Republic of Serbia. In case when and where it’s needed NCD will facilitate communication between our friends and partners with responsible persons in embassies and consulates.
Any kind of individual contributions will be very much appreciated.
Thank you in advance for sharing information and joining our action for support to endangered areas in Serbia.
